Winter brings out a scenic beauty of Green Lake and Marquette counties that adds some special to Wisconsin winter vacations, and when it comes to being surrounded by nature, the Grand River State Wildlife Area provides for a cross country adventure.

Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area is a 7,000-acre property located in southwest Green Lake County and southeast Marquette County near Lake Puckaway, and consists of open marsh/emergent cattail wetland, upland prairie/oak savannah and shrub carr/wet meadow.

The Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area offers many recreational opportunities including cross country skiing.
